OfferAIO ("we", "us") provides a website at offeraio.com and a Chrome browser extension, "OfferAIO — Auto Apply", that helps you fill out Summer 2027 internship applications in your own browser. This policy explains what the extension and site collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. We built OfferAIO to keep your data on your device by default.
- The details you enter (your application profile) are stored locally in your browser, not on our servers.
- The extension only runs on the job-application sites it supports and on the OfferAIO dashboard.
- You review and submit every application. CAPTCHAs are never bypassed. Your resume is never uploaded or transmitted by the extension.
- We do not sell or share your personal information.
Information the extension stores
When you save your profile in the extension (or sync it from the OfferAIO dashboard), the following is stored on your device using the browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local):
- Contact and application details you enter: name, email, phone, school, graduation date, major, minor, GPA, LinkedIn URL, work-authorization/sponsorship preference, and an optional cover-letter template.
- Your apply-mode preference (semi-auto or full-auto).
This information stays in your browser. The extension does not transmit your profile to OfferAIO servers.
How the information is used
Your saved profile is used for a single purpose: to fill the fields of internship application forms on supported sites when you click "Fill", so you can review and submit them yourself. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
Cover-letter generation
If you use the cover-letter feature on the OfferAIO dashboard, the text and details you provide are sent to our cover-letter service to generate a draft and are processed for that request only. They are not stored after the draft is returned.
Your resume
For your security, browsers do not allow extensions to attach files. OfferAIO never uploads or transmits your resume — it simply highlights the file field so you can attach it yourself directly to the employer.
Permissions the extension requests, and why
- Storage — to save your application profile locally.
- Active tab & scripting — to run the form-filler on the application page you are viewing, only when you click "Fill".
- Access to specific job sites (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, iCIMS, Workable, Jobvite, BambooHR, Breezy, Taleo, Handshake, LinkedIn Jobs, ZipRecruiter, Indeed, Wellfound) — to fill application fields on those sites.
- Access to offeraio.com — to let the OfferAIO dashboard sync your profile into the extension.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as needed to generate a cover letter at your request, or where required by law.
Your choices and data deletion
You can edit or clear your profile at any time in the extension. Removing the extension deletes its locally stored data from your browser. To request any assistance with your data, contact us below.
Children
OfferAIO is intended for college students and other adults seeking internships and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
