Security
Security and your data
OfferAIO holds the same information you would type into an application form yourself, and uses it for that. This page is the short version of what the Privacy Policy and Terms say about keeping it safe. Where they say more, they win.
Where your data lives
- Your data is stored in our own database and file storage, encrypted in transit.
- Your resume is the file you upload and the text we extract from it. We share your information only with the employers you apply to and the service providers needed to run OfferAIO, which for your resume includes the language model only when you allow AI processing; it is never sold. The one exception is a choice you make yourself: if you turn on Meta or TikTok advertising measurement in Cookie settings, that company receives limited measurement data until you turn it off. It never receives your name, email, resume or application answers.
- Your applications are filled in a browser of your own on our servers. Nobody else's applications run in it.
- If you set a password, it is stored hashed. If you sign in with Google we receive only your name and email; we never see your Google password. OfferAIO no longer offers a Gmail connection.
Your card
- Payments are processed by our payment providers: Stripe on the website, and Apple if you buy through the OfferAIO iPhone app when that app is available. We do not store card numbers.
- Creating an account does not charge you. OfferAIO Premium is billed monthly until you cancel. Cancel any time under Settings → Billing; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
What is never done
- We do not sell your data or show advertising in OfferAIO.
- OfferAIO no longer signs in to Gmail, or opens or reads Gmail, in the browser on our servers that fills your applications.
- OfferAIO does not read your Gmail, send mail from it, or ask for a Google app password. Employer mail comes to your private OfferAIO address.
- OfferAIO does not take form answers from anywhere but your profile, your resume, the answers you have saved and OfferAIO's standard answers to common screening questions. An answer you give yourself always replaces a standard one. A question none of these answers is handed back to you under Needs your input.
What you should know
- Cookies are set on offeraio.com. When analytics or Google advertising measurement is on, Google receives measurement data as the Privacy Policy describes. Cookie settings, at the bottom of every page, turns them off. Meta and TikTok advertising measurement start off everywhere and stay off unless you opt in through Cookie settings. If you allow Meta or TikTok advertising measurement, that company receives its cookie ID and ad click ID and may set cookies on its own sites. Your browser's Global Privacy Control overrides every permission.
- Recording your application browser is part of using OfferAIO and is agreed to in the Terms of Service; it is not a separate choice in Settings, and OfferAIO does not ask again before opening the browser. Only OfferAIO's team watches recordings, only to fix problems, and the Privacy Policy says when they are deleted.
- Once an application is sent to an employer, it is theirs. We cannot withdraw it for you, and the employer's own terms and privacy policy apply to it.
- OfferAIO is a small service and holds no third-party security certification. What it does hold itself to is written on this page and in the Privacy Policy.
Your controls
- Export: Settings → Advanced → Export downloads your account data as JSON. File contents, browser recordings and detailed browser logs are not included.
- Delete: Settings → Advanced → Delete account removes your account, profile, saved answers, stored employer-account passwords, applications and mail from our database immediately.
- Edit: every field is editable in Settings and Profiles at any time.
