Intern - Origination & Capital Mkts (NY)

Responsibilities Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: • Contribute to weekly market intelligence and deal activity reporting • Track and analyze sponsor, borrower, and deal activity across the market thru excel trackers and dashboards • Research private equity firms, borrowers, investment banks, and industry sectors to help prepare meeting materials and relationship coverage plans • Gain exposure to transaction evaluation and screening • Present a Final Project at the conclusion of the program to senior members of the firm Candidate Profile • Bachelor's or Master's students in a quantitative field, including Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Applied Math and Statistics are preferred • 2 years of financial coursework preferred • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel • Demonstrable passion for financial markets • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent oral and written communication skills since interaction with senior level management will be required Location • New York, NY Hybrid Work Schedule • 4/1 split (Monday-Thursday work from office, Friday optional work from home) Employment Type • Full-time, Non-Exempt HPS Investment Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
